Because I felt like posting :)

Wow! It's been a really long time. Well, the Superbowl is on and my brother is rooting for the Colts so naturally, I'm hoping that the Saints win, regardless if they suck or not. I'm actually supposed to be doing my English homework for Ms. Sapozhnikov but as a procrastinator, I am bound to find an excuse to not do it.. like updating my blog, for instance.

Anyway, updates on the robot! Personally, I think that we have been a little bit behind in construction but we're coming along.. slowly. Jon's brought our chasis to get welded so we'll be getting it back on Monday (tomorrow). We're still trying out materials to use on the winch. Tomorrow, someone will be going down to Canal Rubber and picking up some material we can test out.

The media girls have been working on the bulletin boards out in the Technology wing of our school. In total, there are three boards and one display case that we (the FeMaidens) and the SciBorgs use to display FIRST. They've finished on two of the boards and I think they look amazing!

Our Dalton kids made the top three at their qualifier a few weeks back and I'm super proud of them! So we'll be seeing them at the Javits Center in March when we have regionals. At this point, I'm not really sure if we're going to have a party for them tomorrow or next Monday.

Open House for prospective students at our school is on Tuesday! I'm supposed to be out in the hallway with Olivia and Francesca answering any questions and trying to persuade these kids into joining their team. Sabina won't be with us this year because she's going to be one of the tour guides. I'm actually really nervous and I hope I don't screw this up. Wish me luck? :)
